WORKING WITH TYDEF
TRACKING YOUR PROJECT
For your peace of mind, we will invite you to our project management platform so that you can stay up to date on the progress of your project the entire way.
RAW AUDIO DELIVERY
We will send you an audio spec sheet for RAW file delivery.
You will record and deliver RAW audio according to the spec sheet.
NOTE: It's okay to apply a high-pass filter and de-clicker that's been approved by our producers.
POST AND PICKUPS
Once you've recorded and delivered your files to us broken down by chapter, we then edit and QC (proof) the audio and send pickups to you.
For pickups, we provide notated pickups in the script with accompanying samples pulled for our round of notes and the publisher/author's round of notes.
You will record pickups in one continuous file and deliver them to us.
INSERTS AND MASTERS DELIVERY
After you record and send the RAW pickup audio, we insert it and send you mastered MP3s.
If your RH has additional technical notes from the masters, we also prep and insert them as well. Then we will resend the updated masters back to you.
A NOTE OF WARNING
We always like to make sure that our narrators are clear with their publishers/authors about pickups that are acceptable (misreads, small technical issues, etc.)
Be sure to advise them that they are responsible for the cost of script changes, voice/performance changes that they've approved of during the first-fifteen, or other major changes that are not the narrator's fault or ours.
We like to make sure you are protected from costly and time-consuming issues that you have no control over.
