About the event
Did you know that audiobook and audio drama auditions are not the same?
Audiobook auditions are usually straightforward and come with a significant amount of information, such as the pay rate and a detailed audition script. Most producers and authors want to hear your recording from your booth to get a feel for your setup, but they want the audio to be "raw."
In contrast, audio drama auditions are generally for a multi-cast and may or may not contain much information about the scene or characters aside from the one you're auditioning for. There is usually no requirement for you to record your audition in your booth, but it's always a plus! Your performance and how your voice blends with the other performers/characters in the scene generally determine your suitability for the role.
If you want to learn more about the nuances of casting, join this FREE-99 Q&A session, by clicking Kam's Casting Corner Q&A: The Audition Process, and we will explore the differences in casting based on the industry and provide you with tips on how to prepare for them.
To ensure I can answer as many questions as possible during this 90-minute session, we're limiting the live session to 50 attendees, so sign up as soon as possible!
